I was applying vinyl to a dog grooming van in front of my shop on Sunday; a man walks by, stops for a few seconds and says, "Wow! Did you make that van?"

I was lettering a van for an appliance repair company outside years ago, and a lady stops in her vehicle, rolls down the window and wants to know can I come look at her refridgerator. No amount of explanation helped this person connect the dots. Me: 'I'm a sign painter' She: 'so when you get done can you come out?' Me:'I'm a SIGN PAINTER, I'm lettering it for the repair company.' She: 'What time could you come and look at it?'
I'm having a five minute conversation with this grown, able to vote and drive a car, woman and she drives off in a "well if you don't want the job you could just say so" huff.
I have no doubt that she called the repair company and complained about the rude employee.
You think people just make stories like this up when you hear them. Then one of "Those People" show up and you realize...they're out there!
