Hi guys............

I have a question I was hoping someone could help me with. I still cut vinyl (believe it or not) using Anagraph Design Art Pro version 3.5.

Works great, Im afraid to change anything lol......... my problem is that I need to use it on a newer computer ...one that wont take a the dongle that is attached like a growth to my old computer !.....

Without the old dongle I cant use my old program........... any ideas.... ?

I dont think Anagraph is even in business any longer....... Id upgraded to Anagraph 2000 but didnt like it or could use it for some reason I dont remember.............

Any help would be appreciated. thatnks Rich

Is it because its a printer port dongle LPT1 instead of the newer USB dongles?

If thats the case can't you just buy a card and put it in a pci slot and then set it up for the dongle,

I believe that's what we did with our Edge, we used to have a separate card for the dongle and one for the edge, and I think now on a newer machine we just put in a card to work the Edge, and then configured the port ECC or ECP or something I don't remember. We upgraded our Gerber stations and have USB dongles, but the edge still needs that old port.

I believe that Design Art Pro would qualify as an orphaned program under the Digital Millennium Act.

This would allow you to get a "soft key" or dongle emulator to operate your software. Here is a place I have heard good things about... Soft Key Maker

you will need a win 98 machine to run it. Design art pro will not run on XP.

So it would be good to find an old machine and use it on that.

OR do what I did. Get cocut pro used and cut with corel draw.
