For the difference in cost per square ft., I would stick with proven products that will maintain your exelent reputation.
A few hundred in savings per month is not worth the risk, in my opinion. Maybe folks here have used it long enough to gauge its quality, i have heard of problems in the distant past though.

Hi Bobby. It seems that you're not the only one with a question regarding this brand (?) of vinyl, if it is in fact a brand. Dianne Balch raised a question as to it's true origins ( sort of like questioning it's lineage or pedigree )

Occasionally, I've allowed my supplier to send FDC in place of my normal Calon II. So far I've had no problems, but I only use high performance of either brand.

I've been using it for years without problem. Gerber is actually cheaper now (my suppliers w/shipping), and I use lots of that too, but I prefer the FDC. Some of the oddball stuff is a different brand in an FDC box (avery or 3m reflective ... I've had both come in an fdc box). I only use the high performance.(except for some crap black and white for coroplast riders)

I don't think you'll have any problems with it. I've used it off and on for years with no problems. I believe they're a big converter and actually make vinyl for some of the other "biggies". They have a pretty big selection too; and some of their vinyls, like the mirror gold, are rated for 5 years, where some others are about 1.
Most all the the brands of vinyl we use have had some kind of problem, of some kind, somewhere along the line. I've never encountered any with FDC.

Other than an unmarked splice in a special ordered roll once, I have never had a problem with FDC. I always heard that it was made by Gerber. Or something like that. Love....Jill

The FDC Hipo is 3M relabeled and its very good. (Obviously) their Intermediate is crap. Im not sure who makes it for them but it is very soft and weeds great but shrinks like no tomorrow.
We used it on a few jobs and it literally shrank 1/8" in less then a month. Nice Glue line..
Someone said it was relabeled Oracal 651 But I argue that and would have to see proof as we use a lot of 651 and have never had a problem. (I'm betting Avery due to the shrinkage. )
