Hi folks-
This is a bit random, but its been bugging my brain for ages now.

About 15 or so years ago we had a One shot product, a reducer, But in a small white can- with blue label.
It was similar to the straight Oneshot reducer being a slick varnish type liquid.
But this stuff really had some guts to it.

The question that beats in my brain like a hammer is....

WHAT was it called??? [I Don t Know] [Thanks]

It's called Liqui-seal....says for mixing and thinning only....not a topcoat. Don't know if it is still available. Have not used it much...maybe someone else can enlighten us...

Yes Jim is correct and believe it or not I still have a can which has not jelled. On the other hand during the time of Liqui-Seal, Chromatic made a similar but updated product which also contained resins and was called ChromaFlo and since Spraylat owns both 1-Shot and Chromatic the product will be available again soon as either a replacement or added to the line-up for the #6000 which was supposed to be like the Liqui-Seal.

At times I've spoken about ChromaFlo and its uses, its properties and the fact that it adds gloss and longevity to the paints and also that it reminded me of Liqui-Seal. Liqui-Seal got a bad rap in the past when 1-Shot dropped it from its line-up because hardly anyone knew what it was supposed to be used for and was used by some who thought it was a topcoat or a gold leaf product from what I remember and of course it wasn't any of those things. In the 70's and 80's I used Liqui-Seal which great results when I done work in south Florida and than I found ChromaFlo when I moved to Haverstraw NYin the late 80's just one mile from the Chromatic company in Stony Point.

Just got a visitor will finish if later if I'm needed.

Thanks Joey thats the stuff!- I remember as an apprentice we used to make up our own white, with Intenso colours and the Liqui-seal.

If you have time to take a quick photo of the can, I'd appreciate it.

The present One shot reducer reminds me of it but does'nt seem to have the guts. How does it compare to you?

Wayne, I been using ChromaFlo since the late 80's and nothing compares to it. I'll email you a photo of the can when I clean my shop today.
