Every time I see Tommy or one of the other great gutarists, I'm tempted to give away all my instruments and equipment. Thom Bresh is another must see guy if you get the chance.

I asked my Australian buddy, Geoff Achison, if there were any more amazing guitar players like him back home and he immediately said Tommy Emmanuel. He also turned me on to the John Butler Trio:

Pass the marshmellows...actually, I saw an interview with Eric Clapton once that helped me with my "I'm gonna burn it all!" reaction. He said he was in his car and heard a song on the radio that blew him away. Said he pulled over to the side of the highway to listen and said that before the day was over he HAD to know who this was. It was Stevie Ray Vaughan. He said that as luck would have it Stevie was performing somewhere close and he went to the show and said that not long into the performance he thought to himself 'well what am I going to do for a living NOW'. He was sure he was done for. So I guess we're in good company!
