I'm not going to delve into my opinion of Weaver.... Randy Weaver, that is.... But he did commission a piece in our recording studio that has never been released nor paid for. Its a long, complex story. Latigo wrote the music, played rythm and lead guitar... Rosemary played the bass track and one of her ex-boyfriends sang lead and backup vocals. This is the original, unreleased (and never will be) soundtrack... "Far From Ruby Ridge".

That one was among the last ones I mixed. Too many years in the control room have killed my high end EQ, so I do all of the inputs now, but Latigo does all of the mixdowns.

Yeah, that was the first mix, Del. We rearranged it later. Actually the most complex piece I've ever mixed outside of a Jazz Festival set of 2" tapes was a cut that Latigo and Rosemary did on their first album. It was a bubblegum piece that Rosemary wrote about an incident in the schoolyard involving Latigo and three bullies. The story is too long to relate here, but Lat won the fracas. If you listen closely you'll hear that all the rythm tracks are actually Latigo playing 4 times, same line track by track. The lead guitars ae actually two guitars, Rosemary's vocals are 4 vocals (to avoid using the chorus processor... she hate's the processed sound) and her bass track is the only one that's not doubled or quadrupled. The intent of the music was to envision kids in the background doing the nyah nyah thing. You can hear it in the lead break. Mixing that sucker was a long, involved process. I'm sure Mark Fair understand what's involved.
Latigo composed and performed this piece at age 15. Rosemary was18. The Drummer, Mondo Mike Piazza (now deceased) was 35.

Wow, great job Pierre; I really like it! I haven't seen any more "Little Outhouse on the Prairie" type stories lately; what's up with that?
