While in Long Beach this past weekend I learned that Tramp Warner fell and broke his knee cap last Monday (or sometime in that vicinity).
One of the highlights of doing the Sign Business Shows is getting to spend some time with Tramp and being able to joke around with him.
Tramp reads these posts but is too chicken to actually post anything. Tramp...you were missed in Long Beach and the news of your accident spread quickly.
It seems that Tramp was out dancing and tried some of those cool moves that the young folks do where you spin on your head. While spinning he lost his balance and fell into this linebacker type guy that was the bouncer and Bruno bounced Tramp out onto the sidewalk and he rolled into a new sports car and broke his knee cap.
No....not really. The story I heard was that he was going down some steps and his leg gave way and he broke his knee cap.
Tramp...get well quick. Hope to see you in Indy. By the way, I didn't have any solvents or oil in Long Beach and had to cancel the lettering demonstration. Also, you were not there to clean up my mess.

Do you mean "Festus"? Hey I cracked my kneecap once by tripping over a snowmobile ski in the garage. It was either fall face-first into a sign or land on my knee. Took about a year to heal and every once in awhile when kneeling I get this weird Zing! Heal up, Tramp old pal. Love.....Jill

In Tramps own words while speaking about the Long Beach thingie: The One Shot team is there but on Monday night I blew out my right knee cap on the stairs of my studio and now have a brace
I won't go into the rest of the conversation for fear that others would take offense to wording that Tramp used in his personal email to me.

Ouch....a broken knee cap sounds soooo painful! I hope the worst of it is over. Thanks for all your participation in Moose Jaw, the workshops were great! Maybe you can use some of your down time to do more presentations like that.

The last time I heard your voice on my messages,I could tell you were losing your balance while hitch-hiking back to Toronto from Moncton. Didn't think it would affect you that much.Witch leg, brake or shifter. Sure won't put too many miles on the new bike for a while. Get healed old buddy & try to limp into Consac. A beer perhaps for the medical purpose only. Thanks again for the tremendous support for our meet in Moncton.
