Well here I am visiting with my nephew in soCal and even though we have always had our differences and rants towards each other, things from the start of my visit have been looking up.
First I stopped at TomCats shop in Redding than on to Jeff Crank for a few minutes and than drove down to Crazy Jacks home where I was totally impressed, what a class act he is. I spent the night than left around 8:30am and got to SFV in soCal 5 hours later cruising at 80 in the Scion.
As I said, I'm staying at my nephews house and so far he has treated me like a king. Of course there is a price for this in which I'll pay as time goes on. The other day he gave me a Sony DSC-F717 because I left the charger and plug transfer cable notebook to digital camera at home, but this cameras awesome, I was speechless its got everything. Today he loaned me this G4 powerbook I'm posting with and tells me he has a newer one I can take with me cause he don't need it, weird huh? Well we'll see down the road. Anthony is a very talented craftsman who worked for years at Paramount studios building sets and other assorted stuff for movies. His friggin house is something else and still unfinished, from plastered dragons on his roof to a sphinx overlooking the pool and the interior is a mountain of unopened boxes in every room. I don't know how long I can put up being surrounded by all this and him overly enthused in regards to me being here as we haven't really touched base with each other since his mom, my sister passed on, because of our differences and similarities. Don Ameche said it best in one of his movies, things change.
Anyway, on this powerbook I'ver noticed is doesn't have a fan underneath or anywhere visible, ok Mac/ peoples, why is that?
Thats all I have to ask and will add that if anyone is down this way they are welcome to call me and we'll hook up, my tools and kit are always with me.

I think I'll be heading to the Long Beach show on Friday, and most likely meeting Dawn Ellis there as well. You should go Joey, I'd love to meet you and it'd be great to see Cisco again as well. Raymond Chapman usually teaches a few classes there and I believe Tramp does too.

Well I would like to be there at the show but I will continue to be recouperating from a surgery. I talked to Dawn, this morning and was given some good info on finding a dwelling for my son. Last time I was at Long Beach, I did meet up with Tramp, but Raymond, happened to be in a class most of the time I was there. If you see them both Tracie, let them know I say hello.
Joey, Give me a call.

Well folks I've already contacted my friend Cisco and said I will be there but re-thinking I may have to show up on Thursday due to prior commitments. These other commitments is why I am here in soCal to begin with and staying at my nephews home as they are close. Hopefully I can make some kind of arrangement with others who are basically in charge of my time and figure things out.
I registered this evening for the show and we'll just have to see where things go in the morning.
