I just came on to see if anyone had mentioned Fred's so thanks for posting...wow!...their 19th year...and a birdy says it getting close to their last so if you want to be a part of something special, come on out!
Also, for those who do carving, I am bringing up my Tormek...so we can get them tools sharpened up for you and show ya what it takes to keep them that way!
AND!...I know that the Self's would really appreciate it if you could call them and let them know your coming. It is so hard to plan without solid attendance numbers.
See ya there!

Donna, click on your left where it lists "Future live meets" for info. I've been wondering if anyone from Nebraska is going? Not such a long ways down there is it? (Weather permitting). I've only been to one small meet which was in Norfolk, Nebraska with Karl Reeder, it was great fun and great inspiration. But I fear a newbie like me might get lost so far from home.

Like the Meyer said, it is an icon among meets and there is talent there that covers the entire gammut of art...as well as a fun bunch backed by the best of hosts!
I went five years ago and have gone to everyone since!
Just give Marilyn a hollar! She will answer any questions you might have.

It's just like a family reunion after all these years. You'll not find a greater concentration of talent in one place at any other Letterhead gathering. And a wide range of abilities...covering just about anything you would ever want to know.
Tramp Warner said that he was going to try to make it this year. He owes me a pin striped chair, so he had better show up.
Fred and Marilyn put on a great event. It's one of those things that we just always say, "See you next year at Fred's", without ever asking if Fred and Marilyn are going to do it. At some point it will end. Make sure that you don't miss one and then regret never having attended.
By the way, they lose money on this thing every year, so it is not done as a fund raiser for them. It's because they love the craft and us. True Letterhead spirit.

I can't make it this year. We're having a family reunion here at the same time. My brother is coming in from Montana, one of my sisters from North Carolina, a sister from East Texas, etc.
I'll wave to the North at some point.

Hey! On Autoart....some mentioned (BOBBO) that they had difficulty getting a room. I got ours this a.m. and it is full due to a basketball game, but driving only 4 short miles isn't gonna kill anyone! Here is what I found that still have accommodations: The Regency In - 3800 N 144 (6.5 miles) $149 for 3 nights Value Place - (8.3 miles)$243.00 for 3 nights The Plaza Hotel and Conference 0 (4.8 miles) @ $188.00 for 3 nights. Rob and I are staying here! So, quit wasting your time, get on the computer, do a search on travelocity, pack your cleanpanties....grab your supplies and get your booties over to Oklahoma City. We ALWAYS have a blast there. Anyway, Rob is ready to strut his stuff this year. Can't wait to see you all there!! Rob & Nan (Nuke & The Nukess!)

Found out the same thing on Friday when trying to make my reservations. Most of the time we stay at the Red Roof Inn on Meridian, but almost everything in that area is filled.
Finally found a space at The Regency Inn and it's very close to Meridian and all the other inns and restaurants. Also, it's a very short drive down I-40 to Fred's.
It will be great to see Robert again and catch up on how much he has improved from last year.

Since my mother passed away yesterday and the funeral service is Saturday, Mike and I will not be able to be at Fred's this year. I will miss seeing all of you. Dip a brush for me and Mike.
