Darn! I missed it,,,again. I really hate that Miami Ink show, but if Mike's on it , I'll watch it.

yeah, that makes 2 of us. I hate the smug way these reality tv show "stars" act. The only thing that I could say nice is how talented Kat and Garver (I think that's his name...the older balding guy) are.
The one thing that I did see from watching the show is noticing differences between my tattoo artist set up and theirs. My guy puts a bag over everything, including his gun, and power wire. Something that they don't do on that show.
They are getting just as bad as the OCC guys, now.

I've seen several episodes, and really liked the show. I know lots of those things get scripted, regardless of the "reality" they try to portray. However, I liked seeing how each artist approached the task differently. Some needed time to research, and others didn't.
OCC has lost a lot of the spontaneity, and it's obvious they are reading a lot of their lines. It's still interesting to watch the bikes come together, but it's funny how there is always a crushing deadline, or some other crisis to keep the tension high.
My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone. Posts: 3129 | From: Tooele, UT | Registered: Mar 2005

I caught the show an hour later than Suelynn, so thanks for the heads up! I've never sat through an entire tatoo show before. It was actually pretty interesting. I'm surprised how vibrant tatoos can come out plus how much softer they appear with some shading. Too bad they couldn't duplicate your flame inspiration piece, Mike. That would have been a great idea.
BTW, I have this here black dodge dakota... heh...
