I have a client that wants a new Main I.D. sign on the front of their building but doesn't want any holes drilled in the surface.
Hmmm...while checking out the front of the building I found out the surface was porcelain covered steel panels.
I slept on it and in the middle of one of my sleep engineering dreams it came like a flash.
The customer now has a 2' x 20' magnetic sheet sign. Just to make sure it didn't curl off there in the heat or wind I sealed the top 1 inch with a thin line of silicone (invisible from the street.
I'll try and load a photo later...anyone else use Almag sheeting in a size this big?
Is it a record here? Inquiring minds want to know!

I did a 2'x6'mag for a trade show display. It worked well. The worst part about a 20 footer would be keeping it straight for the entire length. Keep us posted.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the hardest to come up with! Seems like an excellent idea. I don't envy you the application, hopefully you had another set of hands to help you. I often have my best ideas the first thing in the morning... (usually after a sleepless night of thinking, my body and my stubborn will give up and my brain hands it to me upon awakening) Sincerely....Jill

Hiya Monte, Don't you like it when a plan falls into place I'm glad your idea worked, but it's not that new. I've read several articles where sign companies in Vegas are using digitally printed magnets as short term solutions to promote business and events. I think the largest sheet now made is about 42" wide. I do have one concern with you plan though. Because the client is apparently concerned about damaging the facia, don't you think that leaving a magnet on the surface for an extended period of time is going to create problems for removal? Or did you leave a magnetic care instruction sheet with them, stating that the magnet needs to be removed and cleaned once a week
