Hello M&M, I will look for that picture from Scotland. The only things you need to bring are yourselves and pictures of your sign work and your beautiful valley in Bavaria.
Bill, you're right - your niece is petty and she should change her wedding plans.

I guess I sat here long enough trying to think of a reason to go to this meet. Well, back a couple of years ago Brian & Bob (me) hosted our first meet in Moncton, N.B.& guess who travled all the way from down south to help make our meet a success. The big boys from Georgia. I guess it only fair to return the support by attending this gala event. Save me some sand and a hunk of Kelli's PB. Cheque will go out tomorrow. Will arrive Wed.to lend a hand.

OK, now we got us a PARTY. When we first arrived in Moncton at the ranch, Bob met us at the front and gave us a tour of the facilities, ending at the giant walk-in cooler, packed floor to ceiling with cold beer. It's impossible to compete with Sunset Valley Ranch and the hospitality of our Canadian pals, but we'll do the best we can.
Bob, I'll have some Molsons iced down in your honor. It just keeps gettin' better.......

Finished my banner last night while listening to some Civil War era music on the CD player. You know when you get to the point where you want to add one more thing, but then you went too far? It was just at that moment when "Dixie" started playing. I knew it was finished then. Really wish I could make it but the banner will have to suffice in my stead. love....Jill

Yup,two Hinesigns guys.Reg. sent yesterday. He played a big part in our meet by doing construction on buildings & getting things ready with us.He also showed his father the finer points of drinking beer. This trip will be spent doing sign kinda stuff,YEAH RIGHT DAD.

Sonny, it's 100% official on my calendar now! My first meet! I can't wait.
My flight plans are still half-baked on 3 different expiring Orbitz windows behind this Letterville window, but I plan to make the purchase later today, when the spin-off trip dates to visit some family after the meet are firmed up. I still plan to be available all day on the 12th to help with building the stage & with whatever other projects you might have.
I'm looking forward to meeting all you dozens of folks that already registered... as well as the rest of whoever shows up!

Doug's finally out of the closet. I've been bugging him for months to commit, even bribing him with offers to play with the band on Saturday night. Ladies and Gentlemen, WE HAVE A DRUMMER........

alright Ray I went through the 3 pages trying to find reference to your attendance.. I was pretty sure you had committed as well, but must have skimmed too fast.
I considering bringing a djimbe to jam with the acoustic guitars late at night. Do you ever settle for the weak substitute of hand drums for those "unplugged' jam opportunities? If so, do you own any & are you bringing any?

right-on!! we'll play some dead, some allmans & some other double drummer stuuff!
...seriously though, Sonny's friends 10 Degrees Off are a working band... so the thought that they will allegedly allow us unproven signs guys up on stage is a brave & generous rumor & one I take with a grain of salt & tempered with a good measure of low expectations.
...but, are any letterheads bringing electric guitars & at least 1 guy with a bass??
...Because then the thought of Nancy bringing some house-band drums would really open up the opportunity to keep this 24/7 party from closing down (...or ensure that it's shut down by the authorities if experience is any teacher )
BTW, my flights are bought & paid for. I arrive in Atlanta on the 11th around 5:30 pm & I'm renting a jeep, so I'll have room to take a few other heads into Lilburn.
I want to help build the stage on Thursday, but I may be coerced into an airport shuttle run as well.

My kids will have a few instuments. My daughter & son play both electric & accoustic guitar. My son plays bass, but he really doesn't like the bass he has now. They're planning to be there with their stuff. We have a drum kit that we loaned our church, and it's in their storage now. I'll see what we can do about bringing it. I was thinking the snare or the bass head needs replacing though. lemme see what I can do.

Hi Matthew! We're staying at the Comfort Inn. You can get a discount rate of $65 plus tax per night. You need to tell them you are with the Letterheads of course. Lots of letterheads are staying there too. Check out the post by Sonny titled: Topic: Hotels, Registration, Transportation @ Dixie Meet Judy

Sounds like we might have a reprise of the Atlanta Pop Festival. I just did a logo for Clinton Moon, a red hot 19 year old guitar player who might come by Friday to jam with us. Check him out at ctmband.com
John: yes, you're way overdue. Be sure and bring your guitar (and maybe an amp). I got a feeling the Dixie Letterheads are gonna be rockin, Bubba.....
The Comfort Inn ($65) and the Comfort Suites ($79) will be the designated host hotels - they're right next door to each other and share a parking lot. Make sure you tell them you're with the Letterheads.
Better and Better..........

Mailed out the check this morning. No place to stay yet, I guess I'll just play it by ear when I get there Friday. I'll probably be alone so if any one needs a ride between Waynesville and Suwanee let me know.

Blake, got your check today. Roger, we'll have plenty of air and I've been cutting and painting panels all day for the airbrushers and pinstripers. We don't want anybody just standing around with nothing to do. (Unless you want to)
Someone asked me to post all the registrations I've received so far - remember, it don't count 'til I see your money - I'll try to do that soon, but I type slowwwwww.
Don't forget: the $25 registration fee runs out this week. After Oct. 1, it's $40. Don't say I didn't tell you.......

Sonny, or anyone else who will be playing music at the Dixie Meet, let me know if you have any CD's of your songs?
Today I was looking for Boiled Linseed Oil, I just found out it is banned in CA so I asked is a state thing or nation wide. They said I might be able to find it out of state. I said...well I'm going to Atlanta next month, maybe they might have it there. One guy said he had been to Savanna, and Atlanta, said it was beautiful and you could find anything you want there! I guess I'm going to have to find that out, does your state ban Linseed Oil? Or was "Anything" not persay linseed oil?

Thanks Terry and Wright's of Lymm. Now would be a good time to announce the special drawing prize we've entered the first 50 registrants for: Terry Colley has handcrafted another of his magnificent sign kits for the winner. I was the lucky recipient of the grand prize at his Bull and Brush meet in 2000 and he'll be making someone at the Dixie Meet another delighted sign kit owner. Send in those registrations now.....

Nobody has told the newbies about the swearing ritual yet, right? Or maybe you all southerns do it different than we do up here? The peanut butter back rub usually comes BEFORE the strawberry jam shampoo, right?
