We're alive and enjoying our time here in Abbortsford. The laptop hard drive was acting funny just before we left. This morning it died.
The dood news is we found a great computer guy amd should be back up and running by the weekend. See you guys at the restaurant in Yarrow Friday night.

Blew my motherboard the other day as I was writing a 1.3 GB file on the DVD drive. New parts installed last night and today, probably have machine finished being restored tomorrow. Working now on the bookkeeping computer--not quite the graphics machine mine is.
I had a full backup, but for some reason I was not able to restore it to the accounting computer. All my trip info was on the blown up one. I finally got that off a short while ago. Without it, I didn't even know what my flight to the picnic was. When I return, on the agenda is a better back up system.

My harddrive blew up lastnight.. Installing a new one right now also got an external for a backup also.. Boy that would have been a good idea before..

Jeez...what's going on around here? My laptop is on its way home from being fixed right now.

I have stuff on each of 3 machines..this weekend is the time to consolidate em all and then back up to DVD.

Im thinking that Steves HD demise is relative to the quantity of STUFF he had on there. We can all blame Si for sending it to him too.

The hard drive on my laptop died suddenly two weeks ago. Sun spot activity maybe?
