Forget it, Graham... there is nobody around here to answer your question..you are going to have to figure this one out on your own...everyone else is duking it out over on another thread like the Hatfields and McCoys...

Graham...Not sure about Version 10 (been a couple of years) but in X3 you can find objects by colour using the "find and replace" option under "Edit". It is not a simple one step operation but it is available.
If you want to select by colour for cutting, I just shift/click on everything that is the same colour and drag them onto the work page and arrange them for best use of vinyl.

You might also use the object browser and select the same coloured objects that way by holding the Ctrl key and selecting the different objects.

I do it Steve's way - select with the control key, then either group them or combine them if it doesn't affect the layout.

edited to say: There is also another macro called "selectsame" that does a similar replacement. I got it from the corel news group. I can email a zip file if you want it.
