If your anything like me you still haven't put paint to board!... I gotta get my finger out... this has to be done by August 1. Had a few late entries... welcome on board, the more the merrier, total entries is now at 41, anyone else want to join in? Just send me your email address so I can match you up with someone to swap. We have a few Aussies in the swap, but no-one from England, join in guys! Please all be aware you might be swapping with someone from another country and the postage might cost a bit, but equally, postage from them costs a bit too. Whats a few bucks for the joy of getting and receiving a panel from your fellow Lettervillian? Have fun with this guys. On with the Swap!

Wow... Panel One done already! Catherine wins the prize for quickest finisher!! Looks good .... Catherine has set the goal post pretty high you guys... Good job Catherine. Finish date is August 1, so no need to worry about rushing, no pressure from me.... enjoy what your doing. Just send me the photo when your finished and when we get a bunch, then I will start matching up your swap partners. Barb will put together a slide show at the end of the swap so we can all see the great panels... thanks Barb.
That's what I'm feeling right now !!!! Panel prototype 1.0 carved with 3 of 5 tools, primed, basepainted as of 11:25 p.m. PST - (I gotta start next one a little earlier - still learning! ) Tomorrow: mask, 2 more tools and finish!
I can already see a couple of minor changes, but all-in-all I'm, well...

Hi WayneWelcome aboard.... I'll add your name to the list.... send me your email address so i can enter it in the database for the swap..... heres the theme etc.... Once again welcome on board....
"I had several Ideas for a panel swap but I decided to go with a combination of ideas from a lot of you that posted, most had a preference for an alphabet theme, others suggested something cartoonish… and a few others suggested a free for all… So for better or worse, lets combine the ideas and have this as a theme….
Panel Swap 6 theme is…. Using these elements.
Take your initials … e.g. J S … for John Serjeant…. DS … for Dan Sawatzky, etc.
Add the word …Signs…
And a …Cartoonish graphic.
And the words …. Panel Swap 6, somewhere on the panel.
Panels can be of whatever substrate you like… They can be as complex or as simple as you please.
From whatever materials you like, if you want to gild, route, carve. airbrush, hand paint, sandblast, or vinyl…. whatever!... its up to you, go wild, show us what you’ve got!
The finish time for the swap will be August 1. That’s eight weeks…. No point dragging things out…. We all probably work better under a deadline anyway! Please… if you commit to the swap, and I’m taking everyone here who has posted as commiting…, then please make time to do the panel.
Rules are similar to the last swaps, I will deal with any disputes or rule making as they arise… we aren’t kids so I’m sure we don’t need to be stifled by a bunch of rules… but if rules need making then lets agree any decision I make is final… If you don’t like the theme then do whatever you desire, just have fun with it!
As you finish your panels send me an email of the finished project and when we get a few finished we’ll start matching up the pairs and advise you who to swap with."

'kay, so I was slightly enthusiastic about the carving when it done...
... and then ...
I started to paint it. Oy, it's a good thing that I'm carving more than one of these! I'm embarrassed to show this to my cat, much less exchange it with anybody here!
Good thing I've got time to play with this some more! Thanks to all of you for raising the bar for me!

The dimensional piece I'm doing is being routed on the MultiCam as I type. I'm trying some new techniques and it looks like it is going to work out cool!
I'm looking forward to seeing all the creative things everyone will do!

I have the background painted. I'm using a Super Stock sign blank that I originally bought for the Mars meet (back in the day I used to make myself these neat little panels when I went to an International) Well I never had time to paint this one for myself, so I'm gonna paint it for someone else (following the Swap guidelines) I even schlepped this little panel to a few meets but never had time to paint it. I bet it's glad to be wearing a new yellow coat. love....Jill

I've got my cartoon done and the pieces cut out and primed. I think I'll take a break for the 4th and get back to it next week...not much left but a little paint and assembly.

Not real sure that Bruce will be able to get one done on time. We both have great ideas, but its difficult when you don't have easy access to supplies, or a place to do it. Plus him knocked off his feet with the cellulitis back, doesn't help.
Put us at the very bottom of the list as stragglers that won't get done on time. SORRY!!! (We're NOT happy about it.)
