What is the deal lately with people calling to update my business information? We get 3 to 4 calls a day like this. Most speaking in a Middle Eastern accent.
I usually hang up. Is this some type of scam I have not heard about? They already know my address and phone number so what else can they do?
Anyone else getting these calls?

its also one of the companies that handle business information and credit. They get your info, put it into a directory and charge you big bux to buy one. Something like Phonedisks USA.. During the hurricane recover they called my bizz at least 88 times.

I tell them that I'm not authorized to give out company information and they have to go through corporate and that Im not allowed to give that number out.

Wow! I thought this would be in a different direction when I first saw the name of the thread.
Back in the day, when things slowed down I would call customers and tell them I was updating records and checking to see if they needed anything...it usually resulted in a sale!

I'm with Curtis. They're just looking for information to sell to other people. When they ask for the name of the person in charge give them a false name. Within a couple of months you'll start getting junk mail, credit card offers, and phone calls for that person.
