A while back someone posted a gorgeous picture of a full moon... perhaps Mike Pipes?
Anyway I grabbed the picture and saved it for future use... and I knew just what that would be!
Our letter sample alphabet is getting more complete all the time. Only 9 more letters to go. The varity of textures we have been able to achieve is wild and aptly demonstrates our router capabilities to our customers!
The moon photo was used as a texture map for this sample. A last second scroll through my font collection yielded the 'cheesy' 'M' which I thought was fitting. The sample is raw Precision board right off the MultiCam and should look even more convincing when painted.
The next sample was inspired by a sign I saw down at the Mall of America on my recent visit there. It will ultimately be in bright Caribean colors and trimmed in gold leaf of course!
There are lots more letter samples scattered about my studio in various stages of finish.... and a few finished ones already hung... can't wait to get them all up!!
Thanks for whoever posted the photo of the moon... the sample looks just like the real thing!!

Here's the original picture as posted a while back...
I'll be painting up the sample as close as I can to look like this image.

I'll do up a second one just for you! Thanks for the pic!
A few minutes with a paint brush made this result...

That's Cool Dan- can envision Pink Floyd's album cover from "Dark Side Of The Moon" - with the rainbow stripes/triangle instead of the "M" Is that the "Sea of Tranquility" in the N.W. corner of moon shot?

It seems to me with all that expensive equipment Dan could at least get the stripes straight.
You just have to keep pouring it on us, huh Sawatzky?
There will be some outragous stuff coming out of that studio when Dan gets into full swing. MultiCam is going to be amazed at what their machine can do.

The moon texture might be the best example yet of what the MultiCam can do with regard to image-based texture mapping. Awesome. When your entire alphabet is done, Dan, you'd better give us a link to nice big photos of all 26 of them!

Maybe we should have a surprise Letterhead meet at your place and finish up all those samples for you. Got Molson? I'm just glad this wasn't an indecent photo of OP withOUT the thong.
