Nope... can't say that a horse show is gonna be something we ever go to... Bruce is horribly allergic to them!
Bruce has a tough time going with me to dog training school, with his allergies. But he does go to dog shows with me when he can, to cheer for his boy!
Toby's got shows this weekend in NJ, next weekend in MA and the following weekend in both CT and NY... but we won't be there...
Have fun at the shows!!

and it's only gotten bigger and better. I want to see Pat Wyse this go'around. I'm a Monte Foreman / Slim Fallis fan from way back and happy to see their tradition continues so long after their passing. I like Clint Anderson, too. Exhibits and art are fantastic.

Thanks for the contact info, Adrienne... here's mine: 530-575-1088... actually my husband's because I'll have my hands too full to want to carry a phone, too... but do feel free to call as well as he'll likely be right there with me.
I just read about your Dad. My heart goes out to you. My Dad's life was saved on the operating table in 1995 and after two harrowing months in intensive care he came home and was able to live a very normal comfortable 7 years after that. We were so grateful. Took a little while for him to get back to getting around well again... but he did! He would have lived a lot longer, I'm sure, but once he got to feeling good again, his old habits returned and I'm sure that shortened his time. But... he went quickly, peacefully and at home... didn't even see it coming. Can't ask for more grace than that.
I checked out your website... what a lovely artist and person you are! But no horses? LOL. You're going to the expo... do you have horses?
Here's a pic of two of mine... I have a 3rd filly now, too... but not a pic yet...
Note... they are not quite that fat... the zoom made it worse than it was, haha.

Adrienne, I have seen John Lyons demos along with Richard Shrake. I have read Monte Roberts books and even talked with him on the phone. I started incorporating his techniques in breaking and handling horse and have seen remarkable improvements in my training techniques. But you have to go see Pat Parelli too. I have broke and trained horses for 35 years. One of my daughters talked me into going to Pat's training seminar and I went reluctantly, thinking that I wasn't going to learn anything new. Boy was I wrong. I saw him take horses that were ready to jump out of their skins and in 20 min to a couple of hours the horse learned to relax and just stand when people in the crowd would clap. You would think that the horses were old plow horses after Pat worked with them.

Yes, I like perreli too...they all are quite amazing, most of it's show, and they sell a lot of product, but I get something beneficial out of each of them. A:)
