You're right Todd...I guess thats why the powers that be only allowed it to be used for ONE issue...

Unfortunately, stupidity like "Super-Ventriloquism" (I lie not) was allowed to continue during the late sixties and seventies.

THAT is really lame-o.

Blame that one on Batman.
Once the campy Batman TV series hit the airwaves, the comics went into the same mode, and somehow the dark and brooding Dark Knight Detective and the Man of Steel looked a lot more like Laurel & Hardy.

Thanks goodness it didn't last...

PS: Bonus question...
Superman's weakness to Kryptonite is well documented, but what's his OTHER weakness?

Dang Barry, you know your stuff! It was in one issue. I was a big superman fan back when, and wish I had kept all my issues. Id be rich now.
I always wondered how they explained his ability to hide his identity with just glasses and a suit, and it was explained in that issue. Worked for me. Back when Sears sold alot of childrens costumes, my mom bought me a superman suit to wear. Trouble is, I wanted to wear it all the time. Found out pretty soon I couldnt jump outa trees that were too high. The suit did not come with invulnerability. [Roll Eyes] [Confused]

how about:
Terro-man
Black Rock
the Parasite
Bizarro
the Superman Revenge Squad
Zod
Chemo

I lived in those comics as a kid, man!

Back in the day, I could sniff out a yard sale or flea market with nickel comic books a mile away!

Wasn't it cool when life was so simple that perfect happiness was a rainy day and a six inch stack of tattered comics?

You got that right. Comic books are getting harder to find. Used to be large displays of them in alot of stores. Heck, even the book stores only carry a few now. Ive still got some of my old one. My son reads them. In the bathroom. [Smile]

Mine too...I have probably 2500 left from my hey day of probably better than 10,000.

Heck, I still spend 30-40 bucks a month on comics...but then at 3.95 a pop...that doesn't take long
