quote: Unfortunately, stupidity like "Super-Ventriloquism" (I lie not) was allowed to continue during the late sixties and seventies.
Blame that one on Batman. Once the campy Batman TV series hit the airwaves, the comics went into the same mode, and somehow the dark and brooding Dark Knight Detective and the Man of Steel looked a lot more like Laurel & Hardy.
Thanks goodness it didn't last... Rapid
PS: Bonus question... Superman's weakness to Kryptonite is well documented, but what's his OTHER weakness?

Dang Barry, you know your stuff! It was in one issue. I was a big superman fan back when, and wish I had kept all my issues. Id be rich now. I always wondered how they explained his ability to hide his identity with just glasses and a suit, and it was explained in that issue. Worked for me. Back when Sears sold alot of childrens costumes, my mom bought me a superman suit to wear. Trouble is, I wanted to wear it all the time. Found out pretty soon I couldnt jump outa trees that were too high. The suit did not come with invulnerability.

You got that right. Comic books are getting harder to find. Used to be large displays of them in alot of stores. Heck, even the book stores only carry a few now. Ive still got some of my old one. My son reads them. In the bathroom.
