Congratulations to North Carolina! They had the better team. For us fans in Illinois -- I hope we don't have to wait another 100 years to play in the title game. After all ... this is the state home of the Cubs, and when Sarah says "Wait till next year", we know that's an on going phrase with no expiration date. We somehow thought with the Red Sox and all maybe this millenium was free of all jinxes and hexes. But it was a good season and this team gave us a lot that we're not used to. We were honored just to have a chance.

I liked both teams and could have been happy either way! the last couple of weeks I was kinda rooting for NC. My original bracket was WAAAY off- IL was my only pick to end up in the 4- but I also had them winning the whole thing.
