If you get a brand name & have problems, you have others here who can help you. With cutters that are only sold 1 place in the country, you're at their mercy.

What are your plans for this cutter? There was minimal response on your last post, and it didnt pertain so much to the model but the actual manufacturer and its practices as well as the ability to be reliable. Most of the replies weren't even of a positive nature.
Plotters such as Roland, Summa, Graphtec and Gerber are popular and not only are backed by reputable companies but also many on this board have them and can be a world of help when question or problems arise.
I have been around on this board since its early conception and never remember too many good things if any said about those plotters you so eagerly yearn for.
I have no idea what your budget is or your plans for this type of work, so I will not recommend anything more than be careful and make a wise purchase.

I hope to start my own business. I want to start by selling decals and small signs and banners online...and possibly grow it into something bigger. Basically I just want to get started.

I also have a Lynx plotter as a backup for the Panther. The Lynx is slow. About the same speed as my buddy's old Roland. It is dependable "For Me". I love the Panther machine.

I've had the lynx for over 2.5 years and it's been really reliable. I built my own stand for it (the supplied one is quite flimsly). takes roland blades in it.
That machine got me started, paid off for itself more than once and is still going!
