MUST be Peet's (from the SF area) Costa Rican...whole milk, NOT CREAM and sweet n low.
I have 10 lbs of the beans shipped to me every 72 days.
I have one super strong cup every morning in my Winnie-the-Pooh mug and then drink green tea for the rest of the day.

Eight O'Clock coffee ground at Friedman's. Double (fat-free) half-n-half. Two cups every morning. I think that McDonald's has THE BEST coffee. Starbux is too strong and too pricey for this gal! Love....Jill

Tim Hortons, hands down. I do like some of those International Instant coffees when camping. Worst, Starbucks, it just tastes burnt.

Ah, coffee... we have a shop called Green Marble here in Mystic. The owner is a coffee fanatic, who roasts the beans himself. My favorite is Costa Rican, French roast, ground at home, brewed in a plunger press, black.
As for take-out coffee, Tim Horton's or Dunkin' Donuts is decent; McDonald's is undrinkable swill that should be saved for initiating lawsuits by spilling on little old ladies. As for Maxwell House, Folgers and the rest, more and better flavor can be obtained by boiling up a nice blend of cat hair and pencil shavings.

Cost Rican - Rosted locally at our little Legacy Chocolates shop here in town, the best part is, you can pick up a couple of hand made truffles at the same time......or their whipped cream topped mochas are killer.
Oh BTW....no matter what anyone tells you...coffee and dark chocolate is GOOD for you...it might kill ya eventually...but at least ya go out buzzed up on caffiene and chocolate......And tell em to skip the skim milk and go for the half-n-half....

Ah, that would be Jamacian Blue Mountain. But for the most interesting, check out Kopi Luwak (http://coffeetea.about.com/cs/kindsofcoffee/a/aakopiluwak.htm). No, I've never tried it...and no, I don't hanker too, either. And, Sheila, I suspect drinkin' this stuff would REALLY age a person. <grin>

I have had a total of two or three cups of coffee in my entire life. Only because I had not slept the previous day. I don't care for the stuff and Mountain Dew actually seems to pep me up better (but I'm trying to get off of that, too)
Once, someone gave us some little bags of premium chocolate treats. One bag was in French. I had sampled several of the chocolate-coated goodies (almonds, raisins, and such) and they were all good. The ones with the French writing turned out to be chocolate covered coffe beans. They didn't taste too good, but I was wide awake even at 2 AM the following morning...at the time I was usually severely depressed and hated my job...that night I felt great and volunteered to close for a co-worker.
That was my only drug-induced high.
BTW, I work in a fast food restaurant, and I can tell you that quality varies from store to store...sometimes quite a bit...so just because you don't like one Starbucks or McDonalds or whatever...doesn't necessarily mean you wont like them all.

someone beat me to the Jamacian Blue mountain, but that is an all time fav. I traveled there in the 80"s and brought some with me as I continued on down into South America. Brewed in a drip filter next to a campfire... the way I brewed most of my coffee for a good 5 years of my best coffee memories.
In Peru, they had little crystal decanters on every table in restaurants... I thought it was soy sauce until I ordered a coffee in my best spanish (right out of the translation boo... when they brought me hot water I attempted to protest, only to learn that the decanter had fresh cold filtered coffee concentrate for an extra rich low-acid cup of coffee any strength you choose.
Until quitting 5 months ago, I've almost always stuck to the one-cup-at-a-time cone filters. Usually any dark french, italian, or ethiopian beans will do. I'm not a fan of Kona coffee... but there is an awesome dark roasted Maui coffee from a farm nearby. When I felt like paying $40 a pound, I'd usually go for that.

I haven't learned how to drink coffee as of yet... imagine me on a big time caffine buzz??? Nobody else can keep up to me now.
I still get some caffine via my favorite drink - Coca Cola which is equal to 1/4 a cup of coffee. I imagine the sugar rush makes up for it though.

Well, I drank an entire pot of Folgers today...and as Cam aptly described; it did taste like cat hair and pencil shavings....but it was hot and helped, even if temporarily, nurse my cold.
I'd never buy it again. I should have known that any coffee sold in a plastic container probably would taste like watered down fuel oil.

I just sold my coffee shop (A Cup & A Crumb Cafe in Greenville, SC)a couple of weeks ago, so I became spoiled with twice weekly deliveries of fresh roasted beans to my door. Dk French Roast- espresso brewed, half & half and a splash of hazelnut starts me out good most mornings. Anybody else like Oregon Chia, steamed w/half & half? John M.

I was fairly recently introduced to Mexican shade grown organic coffee from Starbucks. Good stuff. I like it French pressed too with lots of cream and real organic maple syrup.
