Watching my daughter grow up has been the most rewarding experience of my life...Most recently she drove my 400 horse power collector car around a local race track in front of several thousand people....and helped me design a t-shirt for the event.
Letterhead meets...especially Wall Dog events!
Painting a large mural on a really hot summer day!
Good Dark Chocolate and rich coffee....and CHEESE, I am from Wisconsin!

Another shelah?? Who is she?? I wanna read her posts too . . .
BTW: Dale sounds like you have a perty cool daughter!! It was very rewarding for me to see my daughter grow up, . . . . . get a job and then get married. I saved SO much more money.
Can't wait 'til Em' fig'ers it out . . .
PS: I love it when she says, "You're MEAN", "When I grow up I'm gonna _________", or: "Can I go/do/have ________?"
'cause I get to reply, "When you start payin' all the bills YOU get more say. . . ." This too, makes me very happy: Keepin' a kid's feet on the ground and in reality.

For me, it's the child I've wanted desperately for 18 years, and now have. While not my natural Daughter, the love I feel for her is indescribable and uconditional.
And Dittos to the following:
My wife, for without her I'd be running rampant without direction... Peter Schuttinga
I love the fall. Cool breezes and trees changing color. Phil Steffen
the smell of fresh coffee and the first cup of the day. I love the lake and nature, wood fires, and a great book. Suelynn Sedor
a purring cat cuddled in my lap....Dana Bowers (does this make me un-manly?)
One last note...Salad?? When Mark was a younger lad, they told him he was thinking 'outside the box', to which Mark replied, "Box?? You mean there's a BOX?!?"

Pierre mentioning Jesus and Steve in the same sentence? Steve's got to be walking on water, er, I mean air right about now...
Seriously, What makes me happy is:
1.) Knowing that there is a life beyond this brief existence we know....and that through Jesus, (and nothing that I can do in and of myself) I am able to to leave this world at some point and be birthed into a new, perfect existence with God - free from pain, sorrow, and all the evil that exists today. Deep huh?
2.) Being blessed with a great wife and kids - been married 21 years now....and I'm extremely thankful for that in light of seeing the hords of friends and family experience the anguish of broken relationships, and seeing the effect it has on kids involved.
3.) I'm happy that I have enjoyed a good comfortable life...not rich and not poor....but rich beyond my dreams in many ways. Did you know that 2/3 of the world exists on a yearly income of around $300.
Ethiopians: *have a life expectancy of 40 yrs male and 41.75 yrs female.
*Aids afflicts 4.4% of the adult population
*They are predominantly Muslim...imagine that...
Comparitively, we have it great....but our biggest threat against what makes us happy is Islamic extremists/terrorism.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of.... No one ever promised it, just the pursuit of it.. Gang, I turned my life into such a Cluster Fiasco years ago that a solid bowel movement brings a smile to my face these days. It's the little things, making other people happy makes me happy. But not to the point of people pleasing. I'm real good at a few things, and excell in even fewer things. And when I can do these things, and make a diffrence, it makes me happy. I love to take people up for a flight, there is nothing more exciting than taking someone up in the air that has never before flown.. I like doing things like that. Years ago, I worked for a time in an optical lab grinding lenses and fitting glasses.. You should see the look on a young 3 or 4 year old face when they put on a heavy prescription for the first time... Many times I have seen a childs face light up, simply because they have never really seen the world clearly before. I like that, the part that I did not like was the pay... optical lab pay is very small.... Another thing that makes me happy is Vanilla Ice Cream, or any ice cream...GOD I love Ice Cream
