Hey Doug, OEM software like this does exist. They are probably coming from another country, so you should be careful. You may not be able to register what you buy for support though. I just bought an oem cd of windows xp professional from comp usa. It wasn't that cheap, but I had it in my hands right then, and I knew it was a U.S. version. I've downloaded all the updates no problem from microsoft.

I'd beware. We get lots of these e-mails here (IT support office for large company).
OEM is really meant to be sold with the purchase of hardware. Usually there are OEM versions of operating systems and similar system software. I've never seen actual OEM versions of most of the stuff there, believe me, if there were we would have purchased them with our PC hardware.
Most of these places will tell you in the FAQ that you will not get support from the creators of the software, this one does not.
If you are buying pc hardware get your OEM software from the same source. If not, you can ride the fence of legality and borrow someones' college ID and get educational versions at a college bookstore.. (Most of the time the same, just much cheaper)

A while back we bought software from a company offering a similar "too good to be true" deal. Well, a we took a chance and they were legit. The nice part about it is that they were full versions of the software, but there were some drawbacks. As Dusty mentioned, it's OEM software that doesn't come with any support what so ever. We couldn't get updates or install patches. However, you can upgrade to a newer version when it becomes available. Just like any type of business, there's good and bad. Hopefully, you won't get burned.

John is right, most of the software listed is not OEM because they do not bundle titles like Photoshop with a purchase.
I get these all the time and delete the mail right away. Somehow Europe must be a haven for these pirates where I heard over 80% of all installed software is illegal. The US is way short of that figure which kind of surprises me.
If you are still inclined to do so, you might as well go to a warez site and download it for nothing for all the legitimacy this outfit gives you.

One problem kept me from trying it. They have no option for payment but credit card so you gotta give 'em your credit card info. Since they are in Europe somewhere (western, eastern?) I figured I didn't want to share that with 'em. One site I checked out (not the one you referenced, Doug) said NOT to contact the credit card company if there was a dispute over the order, but contact them by email. That sent up all kinda warning flags to me. Yeah, I agree...if it seems too good to be true...it probably isn't true.

If you are concerned about the legality email Corel and ask. I know I had an OEM version that was actually from Corel, but looking at my CD it has a number to phone if you have purchased the disc without equipment. If you are interested the email is nopiracy@corel.com.

That was another red flag... although legit deals are also often for a limited time... the better the deal, the more limited the time. I had most all the software offered there, but Macromedia Dreamweaver looked a little more interesting for $150. I had also just bought WinFax pro for around $90... this site had it for $40.

I know it's not valid anymore... I posted the whole URL not to send you to the "page not found" place again... just to point out the words "only today" in the address from yesterdays link.
Not too sure, but that may have been a one-day "warez" outfit.
Over the years, many of the illegal warez sites have started offering full CD versions and are quite masterful at building veryy professional looking websites, most of which are located on ISPs in Germany and other European countries these days. There are also zero-day warez sites. These offer free downloads of fully functional programs, but the programs are moved from one ISP to another frequently.
One of the biggest risks of these sites is that they are run by hackers, many considered the "elite" of that group. They have laced these web site with endless popups and go-nowhere links, self-installing and unwanted programs, trojan horses, spyware, advertising generators and maliciuos viruses.
These things have been around since the first day I began using the internet at home back in 1993 and will probably never go away because they are so difficult to police. Rapid

We get them often, but have had a 'dry spell' lately. One came in tonight with wonderful prices, but what stumps me is why they have to (or choose to) put things like " ytyil wivnyt pvifyzi pyi lrmr ymyez ddrcmfy xblwu dqdtodrg cc rvo juctz" at the bottom of the message, or sometimes in the subject line....... what is the benefit to them of that, whoever they are?
