For a long time, we've been buying a clear application tape from Richard's Distributing. The stuff was great. Then all of a sudden, they switched the formula. I am looking for a supplier that carries the "good old stuff". It was manufactured for Richard's so I don't know the brand. Here's my best description.

Color: More on the yellow side of things
Texture: Smooth matte finish
Elasticity: pretty strechy
Sound: quiet when removed

What it's not:
Color: perfectly clear or bluish colored
Texture: frosted, crosshatched, smooth glossy
Elasticity: brittle
Sound: noisy, like velcro or static

That is everything I can think of. If anyone can tell me who makes this app tape or where I can get it I would be most grateful. The closest thing I have seen is R Tape's Conform, but this has the grid on it.
Thanks,
Nicholas

You may want to try TransferRite 1510 - a yellowish, frosty product (medium tack) that's most like what you're looking for. Our newer Ultra Clear has a blue cast, but be aware that all products are not created equal! You'll find that the adhesive on the TransferRite 1310 is very different from the competitive products.

We've had overwhelmingly positive response to this product. You can request a free sample of both products through our web site, www.abitape.com.

Good luck and keep me posted.
Sara
