Ok you guys. This is driving us nuts!! We picked up the newest member of the family Sunday morning... and we've been racking our brains since!!
I figure since there are slangs and terms in different areas that maybe someone can come up with the "THAT'S IT!!" name for our new dog!!
His registered name is Gingery's Terrapin. I will be showing him towards his Championship, as well as (hopefully!) obedience and agility, so I need something UP! Oh, and it can't sound like a command or a correction.
Considering we have Bert and Bobby... we need something with a "B". Preferably 2 syllables and easy and fun to say quickly!
I swear I have seen every pet name website on line.
He's got kinda a funky hairdo (I already thought of Bowie), looks a little like a pony, bounces around like Tigger and is general sweet and silly.
We've thought about Bernie, Bushie and Boone. But we haven't really come up with that ONE name we both really like.
I figure if you guys can come up with so many names for a shed with a bathroom... how hard can it be to name a dog?!?!!
Thanks guys!!!

Please don't call him Boone...Mike has never struck me as having those traits!!!!

Baint Brush - that's two syllables, starting with "B"! (though Pinhead seems perfect) Brushstroke, naah
Over in Oz, "Bundy" is a popular name at times for dogs & also horses. It's the short name for Bundaberg Rum, which is distilled from molasses, in the town of Bundaberg, Qld. "Brandy" gets used too, but for females...,
Bristle?
Now let's see them get better!

I think you could have alot of fun if you named him Bruce. Think of it, shouting out commands, watching your husband jump and roll out of the corner of your eye..."Sorry mom. I've gotta go. Bruce just peed on the carpet again".
Other suggestions:
How about Bobo - or Bonzo?
Too cute? How about Backlash?
Too super-villain? How about Backwash?
Too punk? How about Balderdash or Ballyhoo?
Hey - how about Barnum? (as in P.T.)
Can he mix drinks? "Hey Bartender!"
Bear-bate
Beeline
Bistro
Bones (damnit Jim – I’m a doctor, not a show dog!)
Bravo
Bruiser, Brutus
Bullseye

Cute dog! Perfect for those couples where one is allergic to the fur of a pet and the other HAS to have pets... and for a semi-hairless he is absolutely gorgeous!
I know Boone too and there's a side of him that could appear around Halloween where he could quite probably LOOK just like "Lil'Boone" in the puppy's honor AND to get a good laugh for a great Halloween costume.
Bunky or Lil' Boone (Boonie Crasher- if he gets rambuncious. LOL)

Something tells me Boone doesn't necessarily have to wait for Halloween to show up naked, scaring the crap out of the cows.

Karyn. Congrats on the Golden. I have had twoand find them to be sooooo faithful, obedient, and affectionate. My favorite was Mr. Peabody, named by my son. I hated it at first, but it grew on all of us. The female we had we simply named her Ms. Molly.

Ya know, if it were a giant brute of a dog, he'd have to have a sissy name like Cupcake. However, being a tiny little thing, I'm gonna have to go with Brutus.
