I have a 7'x6' exterior sign that needs to be light weight and i'm going with Dibond, i'd like to bondo the joint line for a more finished look, so i downloaded the fabrication PDF file, and the sheet states:
"When using adhesive to hold dissimilar materials, select one that will allow thermal differential movement without shearing. use a low modulus sealant where greater amounts of movement are expected (i.e. plastics to Dibond material)"
they show silicone as the ahesive and the plastic joining piece held in place with double sided tape.
i'm curious if i'm on the right track, and if this is the best method.
thanks in advance, J.

I've gotten my fingers glued together and stuck to all sorts of items, and woke up once with my nose airplane cemented to the table top - but I have yet to get my butt joined to a sign panel. I have had customers suggest...well, never mind. Posts: 1859 | From: / | Registered: Nov 1998
