JUst got up from my annual nap after Fed's meet...as normal it was a great meet and a good time was had by all.
Thanks to Fred and Marilyn for another fantastic week end.
A special time for us started Thursday nite when about 40 people showed up for the "Party before the party" (next year I think we'll have it at the shop...(to say the least it was intimit)and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed having them.
We also had a "special" house guest from Denver Colorado ...Nancy Warneke aka "the kid"...we've kept track of one another for over 20 years (since we worked together in Denver)she calls me "ole man"...she had a great time and left for home with a big smile on her face.
I'll post some piocs here in a few days ...
Everyone missed R.T. and he was the topic of many a conversation over the weekend.
More later!

Checkin' from NW Oklahoma. This meet ranks #2 on my all time favorites list (just behind my first one in '99). I simply cannot express my heartfelt gratitude to my fellow letterheads for their friendship and camaraderie. I only hope that someday I am able to return the favor.

I had to leave the Fred's early and made it home around 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Coop really said it better than I can (partly because he spellz better than I do)

As usual, Fred and Marilyn exhausted themselves to make sure that the rest of us had a good time. Fred's gathering is becoming like an old family reunion where you get to swap lies with the old folks and see all the new babies. The time goes quickly and before you know it you have to leave.
It was good to catch up with old friends and to make some new ones. The amount of talent in that shop is always amazing. On the way home, Mike and I were already making plans for next year.
I don't know how many more years Fred will be able to keep up the pace, but for now he is doing a fantastic job. And he is constantly learning new things.
It is so great not to have to work for a living.
I'll post some photos later and then send a CD up to Steve in case he wants to put up a page on the event.

We too want to thank you, Monti and Pat, for the great get-together Thurs, and to Fred and Marilyn for opening their shop again for all of us to share. There's nothing better than seeing all your old friends and making new ones. Thanks again!

Thanks Fred and Marilyn! I was there mostly to learn from the stripers but, overall, I can't believe what a comunity of people who stick together and put on such a great event for so little money. I'm sure it cost more than most folks realize to do it, and I appreciate, respect and thank you for giving up your lives for 3 days.

It was a great weekend and I had trouble getting in gear today after the late night jam sessions. I talked so much over the noise, I was horse when I got home.
It was great seeing some of you again and meeting new people. Fred and Marilyn were once again great hosts and made everyone feel at home. This is one of the best meets in the country, so all of you who have never been, put this one on your list next year.
