Tried mixing One Shot Metallic Brass into TC Resin (Currently known as Durabond)Color came out very inconsistent. Seems the darker pigments rose to the top. Has anyone uses any other gold for me to try. What works best? Perhaps One Shot's other gold?
Thanks

I was just thinking about trying that combination the next time I got out my resin. I guess I will cross that one off my list. Have you tried just the gold one shot with out the metal flake?

I haven't tried this, but I think it would make more sense to mix bronze powder in the resin as opposed to a paint that already has a varnish base. You would have to experiment a little to get the right proportions....

I just had a similar conversation with Joey Madden Sunday. I mixed the Metalic Brass and Black 1 Shot. The color was less than impressive and all the metallic fell to the bottom as I painted. I had to rethink my objective.

Matthew, Are you filling in a routed letter with the resin? I've wanted to try a gold letter that way. I've HEARD that using metallic powders is the way to go, but I too would be interested to know if anyone has found a metallic paint that works. Anyone?
