Somewhere I think there was an article called "Fun with PVC" or something like that and I can't find it. It was bent into a scoll and the edges were burnt with a torch.

Anyone know where I saw it?

Thanks,
Tony

Tony the PVC scroll is something that Ron Percell of Percell Signs used to do at the Harvest Moon meet at Product Sign Supply in Sacramento.

Fun with PVC rings a bell. There could be something in the archives but I wouldn't know how to tell you to look for it. Maybe a step by step?

You can just call Ron tomorrow at (707) 769-0639 and he can tell you. He and Kristi are super people. Vic G

Tony-

I have done a scroll just as you mentioned about 12 feet long and 18 inches high. If you have any questions feel free to call or e-mail. It is quite easy to do.

It goes back a ways, but the article you are mentioning is probably the one I wrote for the Jul/Aug 2000 issue of Sign Builder Illustrated.

The bending was done with a torch and heatgun, but the darkening of the antique edging was done "wet on wet" with Krylon.

Tony, go for it, it is fun to play with PVC. Just put on some gloves and start heating and bending till you get the feel of it. If I can do it anyone here can!

Mark Matyjakowski did the most incredible hockey shirt for the 1st. panel swap. It was formed PVC.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure there will be a question or two. It was driving me nuts looking for it, but when Jerry gave me the issue of Signbuilder it was in......sure enough there it was.

I bought a 4x8 sheet to play with....now I just have to find a little time. Looks like fun!!

Thanks again,
Tony
