There was an ad in Sign Craft, (issue 51, March- April 1990), on page 66 for the adjustable "Dream Easel". The company running the ad was Booger "T" Signs, Lake City, Fla. I am trying to find the plans for this cool motorized contraption so I can build one. The ad mentioned that the easel was in use at the Disney World maintenance shops. Can some one out there please help me find this info. A majority of my work is hand painted and I spend a lot of time at the easle. My neck and back would really appreciate the ability to adjust the height and angle of the work!

Hi Mike...here is a old post about the easel your looking for. http://www.letterville.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/23402.html looks like Duncan has both the easel and dream stool made by Booger "T" I'm hoping he'll post the photo's under this post to show you.

I had/have one of these. It's been mostly disassembled. I still have the Easel part, but not the "works". I'll check my files to see if I have any documentation. It worked very well, I might add.

Seems to me the dream easel was set up n some sort of garage door assembly set up and raised and lowered alot like one, with a chain drive of some sort,....

I use the one that Barb showed everyday. I cannot understand why anyone would want anything more complicated. This version has seen daily service for 30 years.

Mike, I checked through my old documents, and I'm afraid that I can't find anything on the Dream Easil. Unfortunately it was disassembled and scrapped and I have no pictures either.
I wanted one light enough, not only in weight, but in how it looked - so many are made from 2x4's and seem so overbearing. Ours is made from aluminum and has 6 positions. It hinges (see side profile photo) and can easily be moved up and down. The backer board is 10x4' 3/4" Crezone. I had the idea, and my husband built it. We love it and couldn't be without it!

Thanks for all of your responses. Barb, I built 2 of the "Bob Fitzgerald Easles" shown above. They were great and served me well for many years, however they take up too much floor space for my new downsized home shop. They are currently residing on the burn pile in the back yard waiting to be reduced to smoldering ash. I am still hoping someone out there can come up with "Dream Easel" info.
