Kelly...Since the begining of this year I've been struggling with having to re-create and re-enter the last 5 years of data in Quickbooks Pro 2008, I'd be happy to discuss some of your issues with you too!

Yes, we use it. Have our data on a server with 3 workstations. I've also set it up for a couple more businesses, another one of which is a multi-user setup on a network.
Would be glad to help you out as well, if it's something I would know about...

Okay Thanks so much. I'll be getting in touch with one or all of you, in the next couple of days. I went from Quickbooks 2002 to Quickbooks Pro 2008. The interface seems a lot different and I've run into a few confusing messages.

Were you using QB before? I have been thinking of upgrading from QB 02, but if you have to reenter all the info, I'll stick with what I have.

No Mark...it is not the case that if you upgrade you have to re-enter data. Without getting into a long explanation, the reason I had to re-build my Quickbooks data was due to my ignorance in letting an accountant set up and run the Quickbooks for me. I have now come to realize that I should have done it myself properly from the beginging when I started using Quickbooks. At this time I could have just started fresh from this point forward but I couldn't bring myself to do that....I think there's a word for that type of behavior..?

We recently purchased the '08 pro and the payroll. Have not done the updates yet because of how much time it has taken in the past because of unforseen complications. We're still on 'o5, but not for long. Payroll updates for the '05 run out in May
