how do you attach a diabond sign to a corrugated metal building? the flat part of the corrugation is 9.5 " wide, 11.75inchs from mid rib to mid rib. It will be 3 8ft panels, 2ft tall, Attached to the wall. BY THE customer! about 14 feet up.

Diane, we used self tapping stainless steel sheet metal screws the same kind they used to hold the metal to the frame of the building.
We got them from Fastenal.

Would it be helpful if I put VBH tape on the back to help hold it on while the holes are drilled into the building

The screws work well, and it only takes 2 people to be able to hold and fasten. The problem I see with VHB tape is you need to place it RIGHT the first time. Once the tape hits the building it will be tough to align the panel. The screws are self-drilling, so you do not need to drill holes, just get it aligned, one person holds in place while the other shoots the screws in.

I agree with Don high bond tape isn't very forgiving if you need to re position.

Agree with the self screwing fasteners. Instead of the vhb tape, I usually use a 5 metre length of 50mm aluminium angle and fix with the same screws where bottom of sign will be. This is temporary. Sit your panels on this for ease of mounting and levelling, pop in a few fixings on top and then remove the temporary angle and fix bottom permanently. Hope this all makes sense.

Another option if your seams don't match the corrugation is to use furring strips - slats running horizontally and attach panels to that.

For multiple panels, another option is to install 1x4 treated wood stringers on the wall first, then attach the sign panels to that.

I'd just use silicone adhesive, instead of the VHB tape, and then go with the screws. Just the screws should be enough; but the adhesive will give an extra measure of security.

I designed the panels so that the seams are between letters and are on the flat part of the corregation.
I like the idea of the angle temp support bracket.
