This very fun sign is nearing completion in our studio. It was built in three pieces on account of it's height.
The rough concept was done while sitting beside my client on a plane as we travelled from Florida. He approved it on the spot. I did up the final artwork the next day.
Since then we've been busy in the shop. The base is complete and ready to go out the door. This picture was taken just after we applied and sculpted the fiberglass reinforced concrete to the rail ties and beams.
Here's the tower supports, just sculpted yesterday in the shop.
And here's the water tank that will perch on top. I'l be painting the graphic on the side in dry brush to look old and weathered.
The sign will be erected just after New Years.
Another sign for the same project was completed yesterday. Other than the welding and building the routing file it was all done by my helpers.

Wow Dan. That is so beyond my comprehension of what it would take to create that. Love that you designed on the plane. Guess that's the easiest part for you?

Dan i know a sign does not have to have letters to be a sign. But I love the do. It completes the package for me. beautiful work. Thanks for sharing your know-how.
