Just finished this up. All Eastern White Pine (5/4), 52" long. The bird is 10" high and mounted off the ground with stainless steel screws. Finished with 5 coats of poly.

Joe...it seems like someone doing this type of work as long as you have would eventually show some kind of improvement...but don't let it get you down...you'll get the hang of it some day...

I got a break last night and got a chance to sleep in my own bed instead of the floor of my truck. I've been at the BigE since thursday and it is going very well. I've taken some orders for some special pieces. My customer came to the show on Fri. and they couldn't stop drooling over the sign (good thing it's water proof lol).
Thay are going to let me show it thru the last weekend (Oct. 2). I'll get some booth shots up for you at the end of the week when I get another small break.
