It's been a long time since I did anything like this and I've been procrastinating because I was intimidated by it. You only get one chance with sandblasting glass. All in all it isn't too bad, although I think if I had done a practice copy it would have turned out better. The glass panes are each about 8" wide. Once I got over the fear of starting, it was fun.

Great work Kelly. You should skip the starting part and get right into action more often.

How right you are Dan, "getting started" is so time consuming. Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments! Sonny the image was digitized in Corel Draw and cut from calendared vinyl. I removed pieces as I went and covered over them with tape when I needed to. It's all just lightly frosted, some areas more lightly than others. I started by removing the whitest areas and worked towards the darkest until I was down to plain glass for the darkest areas. I found it helped to have a dark cloth behind the blasting. In the past I have backed the glass with dark vinyl to prevent scratching and to help show the blasting better, but I find I like to be able to see what is happening without any interference, so this time I masked the back with clear laminating film.
