So I emailed the wonderful people who manufactor 1-Shot. Got this back,,, Hello Alicia,

Our issue with manufacturing our 1-Shot paints is simply that we are having trouble getting the raw materials to do so. We order in large bulk but we are not receiving it that way due to raw material shortages, supply chain issues, etc.

Hopefully the New Year will bring with it a wealth of raw material J

I am so sorry that you are having trouble finding the 1-Shot brand. Keep trying!

We sincerely appreciate you and your business and look forward to doing business with you into 2022!

So that's it. They can't get the stuff to make the stuf.

I guess they are having the same problems I am having.

I received an email this morning that my items have shipped! I didn't remember ordering anything (thought maybe I was having a "senior moment") so I looked at the order. It is a roll of vinyl I ordered in September.

The customer only has one truck and I was able to talk him into a slight color change.

I had long since forgotten that I ordered the vinyl.

I'm finding it difficult finding suppliers that have all the items on my grocery list. Also, comparing prices is important. Yesterday one supplier quoted me $95 a sheet for 4x10's of D bond and another $170 for the same stuff. I pulled a can of maroon to use yesterday that was the old Sherwin Williams brand (KEM) and this pint said it was $3.25 when I bought it, probably close to fifty years ago.

On some things, I have been over buying to make sure I don't run out. And I bet a lot of other signs shops are doing the same thing. That could be another reason why some products are not on the shelf.

I had a discussion with a Ronan chemist a while back and I mentioned how I noticed One Shot colors only lasting a couple years. He told me One Shot now buys their pigments from China and they are of a much lower quality and don't last. With supply chain issues from China, I would say it is probably the case.

Wow Rick that is weird. Maybe if you floated a thin lay of Penetrol on top that might help. I was having that problem with Gold Size. But since I have keep the opened can in my office, it's been fine. No gummies. It might be attribited to high and low temperture changes.
