So on them painted pan face signs,,,,I have a customer who needs a new logo placed on a old painted pan face sign. Should the new lettering also be painted? And I don't remmeber if it was painted on the inside or the outside. Can't I just place a digital on the front side of the sign?

Si Allen had me paint on some brake fluid which removed the paint in no time. Didn't affect the pan face but I would try a very small spot to be sure.

If the plastic is white, the image goes on the outside. If it is clear and had the image on the inside and then the white over the image on the inside then you need to strip the entire sign. There are translucent vinyls for lighted signs. Stripping them can be a nasty job.
