after spending DAYS trying to get the system to cooperate,
I finally got the plotter to at least acknowledge the computer
through the correct port with sounds and paper feed. . . . . .
only problem is, it does not print what is on the cut que.
I am using Ultra-Flex from Beacon Graphics and Windows XP.
the data that the plotter is spitting out is a MILES and MILES
string of just random numbers, periods and commas.
sample: 02. 8. 1. - 3. - . - 31... 326 yada yada yada
anyone ever experience anything like this before ??
I boot, boot and reboot the whole system and the results are the same. could it be the driver not corrected properly ??
I am at my wits end with thing.

this is the Roland CAMM-1 / PNC-950 system that I had in storage
for 10 years and it is the same as when I last used it.
the plotter was wrapped in food wrap so it was airtight and
insect proof during storage.

Sounds like a language problem. Did you double check the parity, stop, port, settings?
