We've done a number of murals in California Rick... where did you see it?

Dan, this was the temperance mural with a group of ladies pulling a house off its foundation with a rope in Lompoc. I didn't notice the date, but we smiled thinking of the wiggly line style used.

The mural in Lompoc is one of my favourites (of more than a hundred historical murals I painted during this ten year period). It was done about twenty-five years ago. Time flies when you are having fun! My good friend and awesome sign painter COSMIC Ray Renooy from Winnipeg (and other friends) posed for me which I used as reference when I did the design.

Dan...I went back and reviewed your website with all the videos and such. You're still the most amazing individual that I know. Story telling at it's finest!

Dan, the mural is in great shape. The ability to interpret history in a manner that doesn't offend the traditionalists, tells the story, and imparts humor is intriguing to me. The cross hatched background fade is fantastic. The wild fibers on the noose are a thoughtful detail. Glad I got to visit it. I think they have over forty murals in that town.

Thanks for the kind words. This was indeed a very fun mural to execute. The mural committee offered me a great deal of freedom to indulge myself with lots of fun details and the mural was better for it. They were a great community to work for. I believe mine was the first mural there and I'm pleased they kept on with the program to forty murals. That really changes a town in a big way!
I'm glad to hear it is still in good shape.
