I need to match some 8", 3/4" thick cast metal letters. Some are missing from a long name so it has to match. I thought it was a Gemini style but it isn't. It looks like their "Architectural" but with flat face. I don't want to go custom cast. Worst case is I'll cut it from acrylic and match paint.

I tried them, too. I'm waiting to hear back from Gemini. I sent them a photo. Maybe by chance I missed it in the book, or its no longer available. I remember a company called Spanjer. I think Gemini bought them out years ago and continued with some of their styles but they may have all been plastic.
I think I need to custom make these. I was hoping to get them as cast so the the same holes line up in the wall.
Spellcheck says I'm misspelling "the".

I remember Spanjer Brothers. they were located in Chicago. Once they cut some 1/4" thick brass letters for me. Over the years I ordered a lot of stuff from them. They were the choice of quality.
Gamini, at that time, was just junk. Outdated letter styles, weirdly drawn. They have come a long-long way, as I see it they have taken over the letter market. Service beyond what anyone would expect.
Spanjer required a pattern drawn with ball a point pen. They glued this pattern onto the metal and hand cut these 2" letters on a band saw. The style was Friz Quadrata, and the letters came out perfect. Drilled and tapped on the back for studs, all hand done. Their brochures were beautiful, heavy stock, 4-color throughout and at the time were a cut above the rest. They marketed the advertising and architectural industry, the sign guys, I think, were just added revenue.

Some of the Spanjer styles were discontinued in the sale as their molds were totally worn out (especially from the old New Jersey plant). Some styles could have been Matthews Bronze, Spencer or Mills as well. With good patterns, Gemini can fabricate most anything.
