I love to visit Disney parks as the Disney Imagineers are the very best at their craft - bar none. I find the sign and theme work in the parks to be of great inspiration.
It's been more than twenty years since I went to Tokyo Disneyland and they have added plenty including a whole new theme park called DisneySea. This week Peter and I are visiting there.
In DisneySea my favorite area is called Mysterious Island all themed to Jules Vern and Captain Nemo. It is pretty wild and the signs and theme work are fabulous. Here's a couple dimensional signs...
In the 'American Waterfront' area are many wonderful signs, murals and gold leaf windows. There's even a faux storefront which is themed to be a sign shop.
We're having a blast and filling our heads with ideas for the future.

All of the main attraction signs are English, Menus and safety signs are in Japanese with english subtitles. Each restaurant has realistic model/samples or pictures of each dish on display. And the staff all seem to know basic English with many speaking very good English.
The standards of service and upkeep in Tokyo are the highest of all the Disney parks around the world. The attractions are over the top in quality and in many cases much better than the similar ones elsewhere. Everyone is very gracious and happy. It is a great park to visit!
Day three is now done with more than 1,200 photos thus far.
