I use one of these. Cuts steel, .040, .080 aluminum and 3mm dibond/maxmetal materials. Probably won't cut the thicker stuff but it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Mine was $300 on Ebay and I only had to drive about an hour to get it. Not only that but it was so barely used that couldn't see any paint scuffed on the foot pedal. The main thing I like about it is it just slices the metal without slinging dust and metal shavings everywhere, including on me.

I have the soft goods attachment for my panel saw. It uses a utility knife blade to cut foam, coro, etc. It's a Safety Speed Cut, not sure if any of the other manufacturers have something similar.

Just bought a Fletcher substrate cutter last fall. So far cutting dibond, .040 aluminum and pvc boards have been pretty decent. Cut twenty 12" by 18" aluminum blanks today and it was a breeze, never could say that before.
