Ya know, i'm working on this design. Normally I go for straight. But this little van has such a strong slant, I wonder if i should go with the slant.

DEFINITELY!!! Stick with the "level" version. Top version.

Alicia, Can you turn the blue panel under Street Waste Systems into a pipe? With water dripping out? Then leave the slant?
Haven't really thought it through, so it might not work.
When I worked for TrimLine of America in the late seventies I learned the only level line of a vehicle is the bottom door edge, and to (almost) always align lettering and body side moldings with it.
The problem is the shape of so many cars today. It's like trying to letter dinner rolls.

You know the top one is the correct answer. If I could make the letters straight on up, them maybe it would work. But I don't like changing a existing logo. Okay, top one it's a gonna be. I might make the print a tab smaller as to not get into the creae or door handles so much.

I think probably the top one, too. But I might also think about talking to the customer about getting some Krylon or Mar-Hyde, or (?), and painting that black "thing" below the lettering to match the body.

I disagree with trying to "hide" and or cover that black trim...leave it the way it is.
Unless the customer wants the back windows hidden, just do the city name and number in white on the windows. (As it looks, that portion of the layout is kinda an afterthought?)

Top one definitely, and I guess you have already decided that. There is some installer around here that uses the slant of the TOP of the van as there "level" line. It fricken drives me crazy!
