I was catching up on threads..its' been a long time although I sometimes lurk (lol)..
My optometrist suggested a few years ago to get computer glasses instead of using my bifocals ( I won't wear contacts )and I have to say that they are the best choice for the numerous hours on the computer. He said to use the wetting drops about 6 times a day and look away often.
These are single vision but made for me much different than the bifocal reading glasses I have had for about 10 years. They have the anti glare and made out of glass and so comfortable. The screen looks much clearer and my eyes can tell its the way to go.
Hope this helps someone along the way and maybe your eyes will love you too.

i solved this dilemma couple years after i got a computer(93-94)!!!! i have a pair of glasses made with full lenses of the BI-FOCAL SCRIPT. this way i dont have to tilt my head to use the bi-focal. i wear these mostly in the house as i am near sited and the lower script of my bifocal is all i need to see anything in less the 20 feet.
