OK, I guess I have to use some Avery vinyl because they are the only ones I know of with PMS 186 in translucent vinyl. First: Anyone have shrinking problems with their translucent? Second? Anyone sell it by the yard?
Update: Avery has the PMS 186 but not the reflex blue: Anyone know of a brand of translucent in those colors that would not ruin my reputation?

Are you doing something for the Red Cross? Gerber translucent 230 has a scarlet red that matches 187. Wouldn't translucent vinyl be a tad different colorwise anyway than opague? Close enough, I'd go that route instead of avery.

This is for ReMax realty. They only list the Pantone colors so I'm not sure if one digit off is close enough. I would think so for illuminated signs, as the strength of the light could change the color anyway.

Do you know what is funny - Avery vinyl downunder is fine as a product - never a failure nor shrinkage here (yet) and I've been using it since before the big problems you were having in USA.
I can conclude only that there must have been a big bad batch that went your way, but didn't come this way...

I'm with you, Ian....I don't use a lot of vinyl, and it's usually the A6 or intermediate variety, but I've never really had a problem with it.
Thanslucents, however, don't seem to fare as well. Most of them seem to bleach or fade back, after a couple years.......unless some kind of protection is available.

I've used translucents on acrylic when needed for a lightbox, but in the same vein, the ordinary cast vinyl seems translucent enough for the same purpose, in some colours.
