I miss him too. My first friend in Letterville. I have some of his garlic growing out in the garden, and the panels he made here at the shop. But I can't talk with him on the phone anymore.

He was the nicest guy on emails and chat, which was my only contact with Mike. Hit me hard the day I found out on this site that I would never meet him. Still does.

yep... he was such an easy going guy from what little I knew of him... we barely crossed paths here, enough to swap a few words, but he started popping up in facebook chats every few months & that was all it took to know he was the real deal!

Miss Michael too!! He swapped apples for Vidalia onions with me. Always there with a helping hand and great advice on Letterville etc. He was my special letterhead friend.

We swapped panels, and Michael always made me laugh, wish I would have made it to his meets; the world is a different landscape now and so is Letterville.
p.s. It was a few months before we lost Michael that I had arranged for my nephew to go to visit him when he moved from Seattle to New York; my nephew surprised me and had started making custom bows and arrows but the subject only came up when I mentioned Boone. So I was naturally excited for my nephew and fiance to visit Michael and Shirley but this loss came shortly after the conversations. I know Michael is here in spirit as he is so connected with the sign passion and people that he will always continue on.
