We just got back - I'll have pics up tomorrow. As always, it was an incredible event with lots of good times. We hid a few things on our wall with personal significance to some of the locals who shared their stories with us. We had the Dream Team on our wall and it was the first time I didn't have to do any night painting......

If anybody's wondering why the Blues Brothers are on our wall, at least 15 people came up and told us about a scene in the movie where Elwood and Jake are standing next to a Kewanee Boiler in a basement talking to Cab Calloway. We just had to get them in there.....

I have twice as many, but we can't figure out how to upload them from Peggy's phone - Samsung Galaxy may be the "latest and greatest" but I'll settle for a more intuitive I-phone any day..... will post as soon as they're up.

I teamed up with Ted Turner and our wives to lead the Roger Reiman Mural Project. I did most of the design and engineering for this project. Great Dane Trailers in Kewanee donated most all of the metalwork done on this project, and well as the other murals that required panels.
We had the best paint crew and team of supporting professionals anyone could ask for.
Pictured from left are George Sedlak (Evel Knievel's bike and helmet artist, Dustin Hobert (the most talented airbrush artist in the business), Bill Riedel and Rondi, Jenna, Brenda, Me, Cathy and Ted Turner
This is the solo panel I cranked out (with a little help from Carole Bersin and some Ted Lettering).
And Finally a shot of Bill trying to get Evel to smile!
We all had a great time at this event and the project turned out better than I could have hoped! This weekend we are heading down to install the engine-turned gold leaf border trim. Thanks to W&B for the gold and the Chicago Brushmaster's crew for all their help!

I helped on the David Butler/MikeMcEvers wall: http://woodlandpalace.com/ I also painted a ton of quick names on the bottom of the mural. For a $5 donation you could get a T shirt and your name on the wall. We did paint over the names, but they are embedded in the mural. I'm hosting a Walldog event in Butler PA the last week of July 2016. Sponsored by the Butler County Historical Society, it's called Jeepers Creepers. (The Jeep was invented in Butler, and the first Night of the Living Dead was filmed in Butler County) Sure had a fun time out in Kewanee. Love....Jill
