If we cooked it down for the resin, how much marijuana would it take to glue 4 sqft of latex painted HDU letters to a sheet of Dibond? I noticed Joey's list all of the products which can be made from the stuff like construction materials; Amazing! Animal feed? I have this mean ram in my pasture; I wonder if I fed him some "grass" hay would it mellow him out?

Seriously, for the latex-painted HDU on Dibond: would silicone work? Gorilla Glue?

Joey,
Probably the best medicines we have or will ever have, come from plants; penicillin comes to mind, coca, opium, aspirin etc.. God even made sex, religion and politics but it's what people do with it all that makes for bad stuff.

Joey,
Saying 'hemp is not marijuana' is like saying 'a horse is not a Clydesdale". I looked it up: all 'canabis sativa' plants contain THC with 90% of the varieties having weaker amounts. Like I was saying; there is nothing inheretly evil about hemp or marijuana; the problem with anything like that is in how WE abuse it. The reason we have "Clydesdales" is because some people wanted more "horsepower" and the reason y'all have "sensamillion" is because some people were more interested in getting high than in making biofuel, rope and birdseed out of their hemp.

I skimmed your article, no I don't think we need to legalize marijuana or hemp, but I would be interested in knowing what's the best glue to fasten some painted HDU letters to a sheet of Dibond.

Pete, I've done in plenty a' big block Chevys in my little 2478 pound 479 horsepower roller cam small block powered 64 Signet you once saw above. Haven't a clue where the photos gone. Car ran low 11's and I'll be changing a few things to make it a little more streetable like a rear mount twin turbo setup, removing the race trans and installing a T56 six speed, I've owned this car almost 30 years and almost 29 years of street racing with it. yet I do like GM and have couple modified trucks that can scare even me sometimes but in a different way...

Wayne, if you're against legalizing industrial hemp you shd take a look at that documentary "Hempsters". Netflix has it. It's entertaining, has Woody Harrelson, Merle Haggard, Woody Nelson. It's poorly edited, but has plenty of great information, a lot about the heavy-handed interference of the DEA, broken Indian treaties, and the moronic arguments put forth by gvmt people defending the present laws.

From 1000 B.C. to the nineteenth century, hemp was the world's largest agricultural crop, where it was also used for paper, lamp oil and glue. During this period, several well-known books, including the Bible were made from hemp.

Kind a makes you all ticklishly inside eh?

Aww, come on Todd...

Read the article in it's entirety...Smoking pot at an early age is the point of the article.

Shirl and I are in our late 60's and we have both smoked pot occasionally over the years, even as recently as a couple of months ago.

I don't think anyone would consider us "retarded" as a result.

Well...Maybe we are kinda retarded...we got ourselves retired, bought a Mustang convertible for driving in summer in Ontario and a Ford Explorer to drive in Mexico in the "winter". I guess it IS kinda retarded to have 2 vehicles and 2 homes to maintain year round...BUT...I guess that is the kinda thing "retarded" folks do!!!

BTW...We got to be as retarded as we are by working hard and sensibly, saving and investing sensibly. Smoking pot once in a while did not hurt us one bit. [Wink]

To reverse the question Todd...What do you consider your measure of "success in life?"

If it is professing to be a "Christian" and then posting about how to treat others in a movie theater, that annoy you...??? NOT my idea of success

And yes...I figure that being comfortably retired IS one measure of success. Visiting and conversing with others that think the same way is also good. Thanking God for our good health and good fortune is also good.

My parents worked hard and enjoyed a lengthly retirement..We are doing the same.

Two Bob Dylan songs come to mind..."Dignity" and "Gotta Serve Somebody"...Google them and listen to the words. OOOOPPs, BTW Bob Dylan has been known to smoke pot, so his words would probably make no sense to ya Todd!!! [Wink] [Wink]

Edited to say...Check out "Gotta Serve Somebody" first. Then check out "Dignity" next.

Nothing is ever black and white, and anything used in excess can be harmful. I have one big concern with marijuana and that is the multitude of research that points to a link between it's use and the onset or worsening of schizophrenia. I have first hand experience with this, keep your kids safe from it until they are adults.

scitzoid....hummmm sorta how people who DRINK A LOT ARE, not so much pot smokers. PARANOID, maybe, but thats because your doing something your not allowed to do)))))) as for getting that way in older age, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POT....this disease is like most other mental disorders.....IN YOUR BRAIN, and only becomes active at some point or incident in your life that triggers it into activity. WE ALL POSSESS IT, just some never become so bad it interferes with living a somewhat normal life.
this is the same with ALZHEIMER disease. WE ALL CAN HAVE IT, but many never experience it.
i allways wanted to have a sex addiction.....but darn for all of my trying....i cant seem to get it))))))

I am neither a drinker or smoke marijuana, yet on holidays I do dabble and also use marijuana for pain. I have a grow card as well.

Todd, I too am retired, own my home outright and bought with cash and a handshake, have six vehicles registered, insured and drivable and my lady is twenty years younger than I.

BEER kills more people on this planet than all the illicit drugs put together and that is a fact no one seems to care about yet they will voice their opinion on an herb which should never have been illegal to begin with sit back smile and drink a BEER.

If I have to go any further, next subject will be Religions and how many lies are told [Smile]
