We left our Canadian home on Tuesday morning, and were driven to a Detroit airport hotel. I think it was about 42 F overnight.
Flew out early Wednesday morning, still about 42 F.
Arrived in Cancun to 83 F...Loving it!
Arrived at our Mexican home about 5:30 pm.
Been getting settled in, Gulf swimming, pool swimming, meeting and greeting old friends and new friends.
Our "old faithful" Ford Explorer runs just great.
Looking forward to the next 7 months in paradise!!!
Life is good!

LOL Neil!!! The pool is about 85...today it was 90F when I drove into town.
Joy and Kelly..I'll post a few pics tomorrow...Still in "wind-down" mode and having 2 couples show up this afternoon, for drinks, has kinda slowed me down a bit.
Internet at the house is great, and I worked on setting up my own secondary ISP after company left. Now have 2 independent wireless ISP's at the house, with a third USB "pay as you go" cell based stick available too!!!
Shirl can watch "SlingBox" and I can watch "Netflix" at the same time on two seperate ISP's without interfering with each other.
Sounds silly, but it is major stuff here!!!

Hi Phillip...We loved the Chicxulub area for 13 years, but we were contacted by a great Texas couple who wanted us to "love" their home in Chelem. We have loved their home for the last 2 winters (7 months at a time) and we make sure we overlap arrivals and departures so we can socialise with each other at each end of the trips.
We've only been down here for a week this fall and between car maintenance, visa renewals and stuff it has been busy. As YOU know, "living" here is WAY different than visiting.
With any luck, I'll remember my camera and take a few pictures tomorrow.
Gotta "pretty myself up" tomorrow for official visa pics too!!!
Then gonna visit the local GOOD bodyman to get a quote on getting a complete bodyjob and paintjob on the Explorer.
{Hopefully find time to visit friends on the Malecon and pick up some booze and mix too!!!!)
